Lucy Webb

Producer, writer, actress and comedienne Lucy Webb has been a strong supporter of Women In Film since she joined the board in 1999. A native of Tennessee, Lucy’s entertainment career has encompassed feature films, television and the stage. Webb formed Calm Down Productions, Inc. in 1991 and has produced projects for HBO, Lifetime Television, Warner Bros. Television, CBS and NBC. She has been in development at FX Television as well as with Amazon.com.

Webb was a Women In Film Executive Board Member and Vice President of Special Events for more than ten years. She presently serves WIF as senior consultant for special events. She produced five Crystal + Lucy ceremonies: in 2004 “A Family Affair”, in 2005 “Fusion,” 2006’s “Film Brings Us the World” 2007’s “The Best of the Best” and 2008’s “A Black and White Gala.” These events have honored Renee Zellweger, Kathleen Kennedy, Shonda Rhimes, DP Uta Briesewitz, Jennifer Lopez, Maryse Alberti, Gwyneth Paltrow, Nina Shaw, Salma Hayek, Linda Thompson, Ginnifer Goodwin, Sherry Lansing, Lauren Shuler Donner, David Foster, Steven Spielberg, Mandy Walker, Tami Reiker, Diane Warren, and Jeffrey Katzenberg. Webb co-founded and produced The Martini Shot Awards and the Broadcast Film Critics Awards.

For nine years Webb has spearheaded Women In Film’s participation at the Sundance Film Festival with VP of Membership Candace Bowen. In 2007, WIF became an official Associate of the Sundance Film Festival, largely attributed to Webb’s commitment and passion.
