Current Programs

New! WIF Fellowships

Starting in 2023, participants in WIF career programs will be WIF Fellows—this means that in all discipline-specific programs, participants will receive a year of support through mentoring and networking. Our current mentoring program is also being folded into this fellowship model. To find out more about what this means, see below for specifics and join us on October 5 for an AMA (“Ask Me Anything”).

Thanks to Netflix for their support of the Director and DP Fellowships.

WIF | The Black List Writing Labs

The Episodic Lab and Feature Residency are offered to promising non-professional television and film writers, respectively, to hone their projects through workshops and master classes. All selected WIF participants in both programs, as well as a small group of applicants who are not accepted into the Episodic Lab or Feature Residency, will become WIF Writer Fellows.
