General Inquiries

  • How can I get involved with WIF?
    One way to get looped in to what our organization is doing is to subscribe to our newsletter. This way you’ll know about our upcoming events and other ways to get involved. Additionally, you could consider joining WIF. You can find information about becoming a member here.
  • How can I learn more about other WIFT chapters?
    Find out about any of the WIFT chapters or partner organizations around the globe at WIFTI.net.
  • How do I register for an event?
    If you are a member, please log in to your member portal and select “Upcoming Events” from the drop-down menu. If the registration is live, you will be able to register.
  • Why am I not receiving emails from WIF?
    If you are member, please log in to your member portal and select “Re-subscribe Email” from the drop-down menu.
  • Will WIF invest in my project?
    WIF is a membership organization, not a production company, so we do not invest in films. We will once again be offering a Film Finishing Fund grant for projects that have completed 90% of principal photography; stay tuned to our website and newsletter to find out when applications for the Fund will reopen.
  • Can I interview someone from WIF?
    For media inquiries, please contact our publicist Catherine Olim at Rogers & Cowan PMK. For information about gender equality in entertainment, please consult our research page.
  • Will you share my event, project, or product with your members?
    Please submit information in this form for consideration to be included in our editorial schedule.

Membership

  • How do I reset my password?
    Click here to request to reset/recover your member portal password.
  • How do I check my membership status?
    To find out if your membership is current, log in to the portal; in the drop-down menu, click “Membership History.”
  • Where can I access a waiver for the membership fee?
    Please fill out this form.
  • I’m a member of another WIFT chapter; do I need to purchase a membership for the WIF L.A. chapter?
    Each chapter manages its membership individually. Apply for membership to WIF L.A. online here.
  • How can I meet other members?
    The best way to contact other WIF members is through our Members Only Facebook Group or via our membership directory on LinkedIn.
  • Where is my membership card?
    WIF has switched to a green initiative and is no longer sending out physical cards to our members. At screenings and events, please sign in to your WIF account via your mobile device to validate your membership.
  • Can I pay for my membership dues via check?

Help Line

  • When can I reach someone at the Help Line?
    Help Line Advocates are available at (855) WIF LINE [855.943.5463] on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. PT and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PT.
  • Do I need to live in L.A. for the Help Line to refer me to services?
    Our trauma-informed staff take calls from across the country. Legal assistance is available for callers from California, Georgia, and New York. Other services are available for callers in the Los Angeles, Atlanta, and New York City areas.
